We’ve been hit with an unusual amount of snow here on the island. We jokingly refer to it as the snowpocalypse. It’s a much too dramatic name for what we’ve actually got. However, the city isn’t really equipped for any kind of significant snow, so it shuts us down just as surely as a big dump of snow does our neighbours back east.

I love the snow, as I’ve mentioned, so it pleases me no end. The snowpocalypse title feels a little unearned though. We had an actual snowpocalypse about 20 years ago, that was the real deal. This is just snow. Still, snowpocalypse is fun to say.
