I am not made for hot weather. The heat and I do not get along. I would much rather be somewhere that’s cold than warm, with only two exceptions: Disneyland and Hawaii.
Disney because it’s my favourite place in the world and I would live there year round if it were permitted. Hawaii because my family used to go there every year when I was growing up, and it feels like as much my home as my actual hometown does. Alas, I haven’t been to Hawaii in over 21 years now. Disneyland I visited last year, and I’m planning to return as soon as may be.
Unlike the vast majority of people I know and meet, I have never been bitten by the travel bug. Travel holds no excitement or allure for me. To me, travel is anxiety, wrapped in inconvenience, and smothered in bills. Not for me.
